I destroyed my spare key fob in the process of looking for something else that fell, not knowing it was down there at the time. More recently my keys quitely disappeared down there which took me more then 15 minutes to find and retrieve.

Quote: One time I had to just leave the ikey in the car for a few hours until I could find a random kid tp reach down there and pull it out. I couldn't lock the doors but anyone could hop in and start it and drive off.
HAHA yeah I was getting that desperate also while I was trying to get my phone.

Apparently not ONE person in the G35 design department in Nissan has EVER dropped things between their seats before and want to retrieve them. (change, phones, keys, french fries, etc)

I agree with everyone here but was too embarrassed to post about this.

I keep thinking wtf were the engineers thinknig when the made the space between the console so deep AND narrow. When I bought my car used this is what I found in there:

1. Business card of a Parole officer
2. A bic lighter
3. Old air freshener (those tree types that you hang)
4. Random change
5. Hair from God knows who
6. A pen ; my fault as I was trying to fish out my phone that had fallen down there (yeah an iPhone being fished with a pen ...i know i know)
7. A red Doritos chip

I wish they made it wide enough so that you can get the chisel type vacuum cleaning tool in there at least to clean it properly and suck out all the nasty sh*t.

Another thing that pisses me off is the coolant reservoir cap; most cars have it tethered so that when you want to fill the cap it doesnt effing blow away in the wind or fall into the engine bay.
My 1981 Honda Civic had a better engineered reserve bottle cap. Not kidding.

Our Gs eat stuff there and yes, I also hate it. But I had a simular event happen in my Silverado. My Droid X fell in the same area. I thought no biggie. Reached behind my seat and couldnt find it. Looked under my seat and it wasnt there? I was baffled. After about 5 minutes of looking for it, I went into the store to get what I needed before they closed and then came back to look for my phone. It was night time and my only flashlight was on my driod. grr. After I slid the seat forward, I found it was dragging somewhere in the tracks and in fear of cracking the screen, I left it there until I could find a light. Once I found a light, I found my phone in the natural cut in the of the seat for the seatbelt. The phone fell in a slot no bigger than the phone itself and worked its way under the seat cushion. Crazy!!!

I do remember a thread of a guy who was also fed up and fixed it somehow. It was a while ago...

This is pretty much happens in every single car expect my Dads (PIC)

I have to move the seat all the way up and forward, only takes a few min but having to stop and do it is the worst part.

I call it the valley of no return.....

AutoSport.com has a little piece that fits between the seat and console to stop that.
