After looking at this forum since I bought my G in 09 I finally had the time to join it. I have a 2005 G35X Diamond Graphite with very little mods. Trunk Lip spoiler, G35 Aluminum Pedal Set, changed a few bulbs to white LED, and just recently installed the USASPEC PA15 INI which is so much better than making new cds lol.

I use to have a Nissan Maxima 2002 SE before this that had Injen cold intake, 800 watt stereo with custom head unit nav, unfortunately totaled due to snow storm.

A little about me, I live right outside of Atlantic City, NJ (where the casinos are) and am just about finish my bachelors this December. Idk anyone else who lives around here but would like to meet other G35 owners around here, NJ, NY, w/e or idk if theres any new meets comin up either. I frequently visit Los Angeles a lot and tryin to move out there after I graduate if I land job. On the other side I build and fix PCs and macs.

Future Mods I'm plannin:

Injen Cold Air intake,
Ionic Front Lip
Strafe 05-06 nismo rear Lip ( Don't know if this is exact fit or needs to be modified)
Nismo sideskirts
Black out rims
Intergrate my iPad
and maybe paint the car ivory pearl white someday

Anyways I look forward to writing more on G35driver and thanks to everyone here for their posts they're very helpful.

Welcome!

What's your reason to get the Injen intake? If you are looking for power, most aftermarket intakes won't help you with gains, they just add more sound. If you are looking to add a bit of power look into a Motordyne plenum spacer. If you are set on getting an aftermarket intake then look into the Stillen intake/z tube combo. Its similar to an OEM setup and isn't susceptible to heat soak like most other aftermarket intakes.

@bluedevils95 - Thanks
@4DGS - Thanks
@MPJ - Thanks

@Candlestickpark - Dude let me say your G35 is illlll. Reason for the injen intake is that i love the sound it makes when I had my max so I figure I get that same roar for the g35, I know in gains it does nothin really but the sound is awesome. Is there any other intake that really gives gains? I also looked into the Plenum space and Mrev2 and seriously thinking of getting this hopefully its straight bolt on. Does an High flow cat give gains on a stock exhaust?

Imin06gt - thanks dude and message me maybe we can meet up in AC or something?

Thanks man. If you are doing the injen for sound then go for it. I just wanted to be sure you weren't expecting gains from it. The Stillen intake will give you some gains. I used to have it and it roars in the upper RPMs. Definitely look into the plenum spacer. If you don't have a revup motor then no need to do the MREV2 gains will be minimal for the money. Good question on HFCs on a stock exhaust. I imagine you would see gains given that the OEM cats are pretty restrictive. To maximize your gains getting tuned is a must, but don't get tuned until you have done all of your bolt ons.
