Did they tell you what the full problem was or how they fixed it. No I don't have my own diagnostic tool. A few guys here have them and a good friend of my brother has one and I usually let him pull my codes for me.

No, I think the same MAF works for all. I just changed mines and my car is a 2.5 and I have the MAF from a 3.5 G35

Ok guys. Just a quick update on my problem. I changed my MAF bout a month back and still had the same problems. I serviced my car about 2 weeks ago now and tomy surprise what do I find. OIL leaking into spark plug 6 well. After researching that I think that is what is causing my problem. I got my valve cover gasket this week but no one over here (in the bahamas) has the seals for the spark plugs at the moment. Hopefully one of the shops should have their new stuff come in soon so I can replace the gasket and seals and see how it goes.

Hay guys.I have a 2004 nissan skyline.Im getting misfiring from my # 5 cylinder.I did the diagnostics and it showed vv timing control out.I check the coil pack its good.Injectors are also ok,but when i checked the compression it was less than the other cylinders. So that sends me to the valves. Now question, does the g35 valves work in the 2.5 vq engine of the skyline?

That's a good question. alot of the parts look the same but aren't. Your best bet would be is to try and find someone with a 2.5 vq engine skyline parked up and see if you can buy parts from them, or order from Japan.

Why are you changing the MAF when you have a code for a different component?

Swirl valve could be choked with carbon. I'd try cleaning that first

I've done both and I'll let you know how it runs.

If anyone looking for valve gaskets or valve covers let me know. I have a pair for sale. Brand new! Bought them for my car but the G35 and the skyline differ by a few designs. Inbox me for price and details.

Okay got an update. If anyone is experiencing problems with there car and get the code error p1130 for the swirl valve, check your timing chain. With that said does anyone know if they G35 and the skyline take the same timing chain setup and size?
