A/C problem Help!!!!!

I have done many searches in many different web sites and cant seem to get a clear response. So here in San Diego the temperatures during the evening/night are lower obviously because we are in the fall and winter is coming up and the interior of the car gets pretty cold (damn leather). Anyway, when I turn on my heater, the passanger side comes out hot and the drivers side comes out cold. Well then whats the point? The entire A/C system is this way. When I turn on the Windshield Defroster, driver half is cold and passanger side is hot which makes the drivers side really foggy. I know there is a button on the A/C control panel that has two arrows, one pointing left, one pointing right, with two figures in between like little people. I am pretty sure this button controls the teperatures of each side and making it function properly will more than likely resolve my issue, but nothing happens when it is pressed. I hold it, bang it, tap it and nothing. I was wonderig if anyone can help and if there was a DIY on this somewhere here on the forum for this fix. thanks everyone for your help.

The button below the auto/Econ button is your dual climate button. If this is on it will show a separate temp setting for driver and passenger. Say 60 driver and 80 passenger. If this is on it would explain your problem.

Post up a pic of your climate controls and the display that shows ac temps. My guess is you have dual ac and just need to even up the temps.
