have PTY/CAT button, no SAT wiring in trunk, can i still use pa15-infi?

I have an 06 g35x sedan, i have the PTY/CAT button, i ordered the usa spec pa15-infi, took apart my trunk, and I don't have the satellite pre-wiring there. My question is can I still use this one if I need to go through the back of my radio or do I need the pa15-nis one?

if your car is an 06 it is pre wired for sat. It has nothing to do with the pty/cat button. if you push button that says radio it will say fm1,fm2,am,no sat only mid 03 and down were not pre wired for sat

I also have an '06 G35X, my harness was much more to the right than the one in the DIY link you posted. I followed that thread to a T and it worked perfectly, once I found the harness.

the factory harness is located underneath the package tray towards the passenger side of the car,if you use a factory infiiti sat.tuner box you will have to get a n-bus harness extender that goes from the sat tuner box all the way up to the factory n-bus harness(its located to the passenger side of the subwoofer..hope this helps

when you raise the trunk lid it is the panel underneath the rear speakers, take the clips out of that and the n-bus harness is going to be to the right of the subwoofer...should have a piece of gray tape around it if i remember correctly

I have an 06 G35X and did this exact install (although it's been over a year)-all the cars are prewired for sat after like 2004 or something and it's on the passenger side of the trunk toward the front corner. Once you get the carpet pulled back you shouldn't be able to miss it. I ended up feeding the ipod module connector wire (the long wire) up through the seat back on the passenger side, and then under the seat deck to the middle of the car, then under the carpet along the middle hump in the back and up underneath the center armrest. Put the module under the armrest (I stuck a bunch of foam around it so it wouldn't rattle at all, and make a hole for the ipod wire and it looks like it came like that from the factory. It's worked perfectly ever since (again over a year) and the sound is great.

I hope you were right about that wire but unfortunately they sent me the wrong wires for the USA spec! I already ordered another one from amazon and will get a refund from the other company. For anyone reading this, DO NOT BUY THE USA SPEC FROM SEARS! What a headache!
