Is it just me or does the tint on the rear window look like it's cracking in the very last photo? (On the right side)
yeah looks like car has been there for a while...and i think it's just the strange angle of the light on the tint
Going to look at 2 tomorrow..1 04 with 75K on it for 12,900 and another 04 with 125K on it for 9,500
but i am weary..125K and no serivce records..at all with the 1 owner. Nothing was done at a dealer. Carfax doesn't even say a thing about service. I wonder if they wen't down 500 or agreed to look over the entire car for me before i commit 100%..i mean the plugs need to be changed...ect

What do you mean by "not smooth"? I know you are having problems with your 07 on the highway.

I just went to go look at that 04 with 75K on it....drove it in highway and while it was the smoothest one i drove..at 75-80 still like a rubbing/grinding vibration in seats and wheels..much different type of vibration than what i am going through on my 07
What is it with these dam infinitis...can't find a smooth one at all. Other wise the car wasn't bad. 75 K miles. Outside had a good amount of scratches. In the glove box i found a bunch of service records which is nice. Only 2 issues i found were the passengers seat motor for bringing it back seems to be shot..so that has to be replaced..and a pulsation on the highway when breaking (could be causing the slight vibration i feel)
Also..why do all the X's have heel to toe wear on the outsides of the tires...all of them have this..including mine

How were the tires on the test drives? I'd also check the bearings and who knows around 100K it could be a lower control arm or tie rod. As long as the steering was tight is what I would be concerned about, the rear tires are probably bald and need to be balanced if the seat bottom is vibrating.
Brakes are a problem on 03/04..Expect to do some maintenance on any used car, no matter how old the car is. I'd never be satisfied with the condition the previous owner has left it in.

All tires were put on 6 months ago..still basically brand new...except for the heel to toe wear on the outside treads. This tires get pretty crappy ratings on tire rackOriginally Posted by AARONHL

Steering is tight. My only issue is..yes i want to lower my car payments and i feel like i have a dud in my 07..but if i am going to get a car where i have to chanse another vibration problem..why not stay with mine for a bit longer...hell maybe something will break and i will find out what's causing it. (also worried about the trans in my car)

I have an '04 G35x with 130K miles. Received zero maintenance records from the previous owner (apparently it was a trade in). Bought it at 100K and now my engine is pretty much shot. Looking for a new one.
I would highly recommend staying away from a car without records. I bought it at an awesome price but now the repair will more than make up for the so called 'discount' I was initially able to get.
Add'l note: My car was humming very loud on the highway when I bought it. Figured it was because this was a 'sport' sedan. Recently found out that the **** isn't loud because of the awesome ('worn out' - read above) engine but its due to bad wheel bearings? So after the engine I have to fork another check for that..

I think the massachusetts highways probably have something to do with the vibrations. I drive between boston and CT all the time. Going 75 mph on the pike is noticeably different than on 84 through CT. Much more vibrations caused by the road surface in mass vs ct
Also, if the wheels werent balanced yesterday, chances are they are out of balance, and it will cause a vibration at higher speeds. Balancing your tires every year is the reality of living in the northeast

See my fathers truck..moms truck..my old 98 GP..all were silky smooth on the same roads..not my 07 or any of the ones i have test drive. My 07 has a vibration that 5 mechanics can't figure out and i have spent over 2K on possible fixes to have it still not fixed...another reason i am selling it. But if i am selling it..i want the new car to be smooth..not like the one i have where over 65 i am shaking the whole time..maybe i just need to drop infiniti and find something elseOriginally Posted by ccc123pm
