Fixing the G is still chaper than buying a new car, you might get better mpg but at what cost? Less perf. less lux. Keep the G until you can get what you really want, and I'm sure that is not a 4 cyl encono box.

 

I disagree with many... I am going from a G37Scoupe to a G35 sedan. This due to totaling my car and God giving me a new direction. I could easily afford another, you do not always need to progress. Progressive movement is judged by the values of he/she who makes the decision.

Unless you have good equity in the G, and are willing to give it up, there is no financial gain to be had with an econbox. I drove a tsx and thought I could suffer through one... Then I drove another G35 and was glad I had not made the foolish purchase of slowness. To put it plainly, you would have to step down into a 1k car or so to make it worth it. Do the math, gas savings compound slowly.

Life has exponential potential (rhyming not intended). The longer you suffer by making good decisions, and saving, the faster you progress toward toward the American dream. However, if you were to ask me - success, status, and influence are shallow attempts to fill a huge hole. Loving others is what will give you the self esteem you seek.

Take no ones advice. Hear what they say, weigh it according to your value system, meditate, and make the decision that will bring you the happiness you seek. Choosing upon the philosophical convictions of others will lead you to much strife.
