like i said i have D2s in my D2r headlights and i have no problems they are the same bulb
and i don't blind anyone because the g35 headlight has something that blocks the front of the bulb so go look at your head lights and you will see what i am talking about

projector or reflector headlights it don't matter on the bulbs for D2s and D2r the bulbs are the same power output

i cant believe they are being that clueless about your issue. if you wind up using them be careful w the notching. it would really suck to f them up tryin to modify them to work cause you got fed up trying to return them and they arent the same output power d2s bulb are brighter because they dont have the paint and will put light in places it shouldnt be inside the reflector which= more glare but its your car/time/money just my opinion.

They in fact are the same power...both are 15V and carry 35W...the brightness is affected by the paint, but it does NOT have a different power draw! Just wanted to clarify that...electronically, there won't be an effect of the current draw and/or the output.

you never said wattage or voltage i assumed you were talkin about lumens which is why i refered to glare. of course they are the same wattage,so are alot of other bulbs doesnt mean they are the correct bulb for the application which was the point.

no HID bulbs have paint on them if them did have paint they would burn up cause the hid bulb gets so hot you cant even put a finger print on a HID bulb if you did the finger print will burn up and the bulb would burn

so D2R don't have paint on the HID bulb... no HID bulbs do

only halogen lights have the paint on them and maybe you don't know this but HID lights come stock on the G35 your talking like G35 came with halogen lights

so if you don't even know what a D2S bulb and D2R bulb looks like? then you should not be saying any answers to the OP

D2R, D2S, and D2C are exactly the same bulbs, only the notching are different, and the D2R has a glare shield to prevent your headlights from blinding all oncoming traffic. A D2S doesn't need the glare shield because the projectors takes care of that.

I would suggest either getting D2R bulbs, or taking the glare shields off the old bulbs and putting them on the new bulbs.

The D2C fits both D2S and D2R, but does not have the glare shield.

Well, the ceramic paint that helps deflect glare. Thinking about it, you might not be able to take the glare shield off the bulb.

D2R -

D2S -
