dealer used regular oil instead of synthetic

Ive been putting in synthetic oil in my car since ive purchased it. Just yesterday i took it to the dealer and told them i needed synthetic oil like usual, but for some reason they put in normal 5w-30 oil. Can i just swap out the normal oil and put in synthetic or will this mess with my engine??

Umm, if you asked and paid for synthetic, then make them change it. Even if they only charged you for dino, have them correct their mistake.

As for problems; no, but if you leave it, you should change it sooner.

Our cars don't need synthetic oil in first place. 5w-30 is the recommended one by Infiniti so there is no point draining it out.

Yes, However if he has been running synthetic he should stay with synthetic.

And if you paid for a synthetic change march back in there and make them give you what you paid for

Why does he have to stay with synthetic? I hear people say that once you use synthetic you have to stick with synthetic but i asked my mechanic and he said oil is oil. jsut change it regulary

@op your fine with regular oil but that is imo and i am no expert

Use what ever you want to use, you can switch between them.

I personally prefer to run synthetic oil but I also go longer between oil changes. Run it for a while and then go back to synthetic..you wont have a any issues by doing this.
