anyone with 17's in front, 18's in rear w/ z springs in front?

ok so i've been thinking of going with oem 7 spoke 17's in front and the 7 spoke 18's in rear and using z springs to lower the front a little to give the car a better stance. anyone have pics of this setup? i'm sure it's been done. just didn't find anything in the search.

i'm really wanting the car to have a nice, somewhat aggressive looking stance to it but, keep the oem look. i really think it'd look great on my car. would there be any problems with running this setup? to keep the wheel gap as close as possible what size tires should i run? i'm not familiar with tire sizing at all so input with that would be nice as well.

i've seen many g's/z's with 20's in rear and 19's in front but, havent seen the oem wheels of different sizes ran. i'm hoping that isn't for negative reasons. i'm also wondering about the tpms sensors. do all g models come with the sensors? mine is an 05 and i'm unsure if i've got them or not. when getting new wheels do they just swap over easily? input is appreciated.

Well- for one, the wheels dont look the same at all. They're not even the same design. If you look closely at the spokes, the 17s spoked are wider and the 18s are thinner shaped and flattend on the face(if that makes sense). Look closer at pictures.

Please dont just lower the front of your car....Not only will it Hinder performance, it will make you look like you have suspension problems. Almost like the reverse situation of old Lincoln Towncars with blown rear struts that almost drag the ground lol.

My advice is to look into the Z/G drop and get a FULL set of coupe wheels if thats the route you want to go. PLEASE SEARCH before making another thread like this.

As for the TPMS, yes you have them. All oem G wheels will have them so you will have the tire shop reprogram them. Its free most of the time or maybe 5-10 per wheel.

I don't see a big problem. It won't look like a hot rod that you guys are thinking. And the 350z Nismo ran 19" and 18" staggered.

It's not any worse than running a G35 sedan that looked like the hot wheels car that you stepped on one too many time.

BUT what I'm saying is: You couldnt do that with the G sedan 17s and G coupe 18s because they dont match! I mean you could but....yeah.

Now here's an idea: He could run G SPORT sedan 18s and G coupe 19 rays...now that would be a better idea! But still I'm totally againt just lowering the front....

i've never noticed the 17's and 18's being different. i always thought they were the same design, just different sizes.

as for lowering just the front, what i'm wanting to do is even out the gap in the front and rear wheel well while having the different sized wheels.

so the sport 18's and rays 19's are the same? i'd still like to run the larger wheels in the rear. i like the look of the rays too. i'd even do aftermarket wheels larger in the rear depending on what they look like.

i'm gonna look at the wheels better. i'm sure i'll be able to tell the difference once i really give them a good look. i've never really looked that much tho. i mean i know my eyes are bad but, it's really crazy i never noticed they were different. i'm glad i didn't go and buy just 2 18's for the rear and get home only to realize i've got different wheels. i'm glad i made this post even with all the flaming, "muscle car," talk lol. i'll try and look more closely at wheels next time.
