Question about Rayal Purple

I was talking to one of the techs at Infinity today and he said that the trans fluid required on the G35 is a special fluid that is probably only available through dealers at this time (Nissan Matic Fluid J). This sounds like some "as-seen-on-tv" bull sh*t. He said using anything else will void the warranty on our cars. How about Royal Purple? Will this trans fluid void our warranties? I don't know if I was given a line of crap by the tech, but I want to be certain before switching.
Thanks

Re: Question about Rayal Purple

They seem pretty adamant that you use their tranny fluid, stickers all over the place and stuff. Any other fluid in the car they don't seem to care that much, based on the number of stickers etc. They even go as far as not giving you a dip stick to check the level with and use a cap and bolt to seal it.
Back when the first Accords came out, Honda said only to use their brake fluid, no one believed them and used the regualr stuff and the seals started leaking.
Take it with a grain of salt, I would like to switch also but will not take the chance until we find out what is so special about the Infiniti fluid.

Yeah, I think it's BS that you need a "SPECIAL" tool to check the tranny fluid. I went to the dealer today and had them show me what this BULL SH*T tool was. It's nothing but a damn dipstic that is not permanently mounted on the car. What a crock. The people at Sewel were pretty cool about showing me this stuff. However, I don't know where you would buy one. May be Snap On??? I do my own maintenance and mods on my car so I would like to get this tool.
