sedan w/ hks coilover HELP!

hey guys so im just switching from 350z h&rs to hks hipermax coilovers.
i had a few questions concerning them,

1. i purchased them used with no paperwork or a manual and am curious on how to adjust them properly.
i was wondering on them which **** adjusts compression/rebound, and which way to turn the *****, ie how many clicks out.

2. i was thoroughly disapointed when i installed the rears and had them as low as they could go, and im barely lower than my spring set up, what can i do to get lower? i know i can remove the upper collar but thats only 3/8" at best.

3. why might i be experiancing a tapping noise in the rear in correlation with bumps in the road? everything was tightened to spec at the shop while i supervised.

heres some pics

ps i pulled them after this pic lol

the noise may be due to uneven dampening.. make sure they are evenly set on dampening.

bump for help! suspension gurus!
iv been taking apart my rear sus all day trying to figure out whats wrong.
at first i realized that the coils were sitting directly on the lower bucket, so i added these rubber seats for them to go between the coil and bucket, the sound continued. i also tried raising the ride height to put more tension on the spring, but i still had the same result.

super bummed about these coilovers :/ any help is greatly appreciated

Sounds like a case of purchace>research. Mistake #1
Hope you learned your lesson.

In either event you may have more luck in the suspension subsection, there's also a coilover thread there in the stickies and at least one person has reviewed the HKS, I'd try PMing him

Could also be your rear endlinks. They are known to make clunky noise when worn out.

i dont believe the hks were meant to slam the car but more performance. I agree on the endlinks mayb the cause. If you still have oem endlinks and you were lowered and now even lower the geometry is off putting extreme angle and tension on the links. Only other thing it could be is a blown pillowball mount but i dont believe the hks have a pillowball mount in the rear.

i found the culprit, i replaced the hks dampers with my oe sport dampers and the noise dissapeared.
so as you can imagine with the car that low the stock shock it at the bottom of its stroke and is quite stiff. what adjustable rear shocks would be a good choice for me given that i already have the sleeve and coil?
