odd noise from Driver side F wheel

odd noise from Driver side F wheel

hey guys, was hoping someone could help me out here. im getting a weird (rasping) noise from the driver side front wheel.

things i have noticed:
Noise wont happen when the car is not warmed up.
Noise happens (and is most noticeable) when i let go of the gas, noise at times increases when applying brakes.
sounds like a small thin sheet metal... (i checked the back of the wheel to try and feel if anything is loose.. but nothing

if i could i would jack up my car, but my jack isnt a low profile.. and car is too low for my current jack.

I'm willing to bet its the dust shield. Have you had any brake work done recently?
Only think I'm iffy about is why it doesn't happen when its warmed up

Btw for the jacking issue. How lone you? When I jacked my car(its also pretty low) I had a friend lift the car up a little and used the stock car jack to lift it up a little then use the hydraulic jack to get the car up. Careful not to use the jack on the sponge under the car or your foot rest by the petals will be popping out lol

well i had brake service done a while back.. but just recently this started happening..

i have jacked my car many times now.. idk whats really considered low.. but i couldnt get my lil jack on from the back or the front.. lol.

and i too was thinking it was the dust shield.. or w/e is located behind the rotors.. lol.

Check the thickness of the brake pads or if the rotor is warped. The edge of the rotor may be rubbing up against the pad.

had the dealer look at it when i took it in for an oil change, they didnt say anything.. though i do need new brake pads.

Drive up on a couple of 2x4's or paving stones, then jack you car up.
