Moonroof won't close

I used the moonroof on my 2005 G35 today and when I went to close it, the moonroof made a struggling noise as it approached closure (95% of the way there) and refused to close and went all the way back. I checked the track and there was nothing blocking it, any ideas why it would be doing this?

Motor. Mine literally went through this 2-3 weeks ago. Luckily I has warantee. It would get just over 3/4 closed and return to full open. They replaced the motor and it's fine now.

Oh man the lack of searching these days. Not only did you create two topics, there is another topic exactly like this on the FIRST PAGE

Mine was the same way. When you open the sunroof there is a piece on both sides that slide up. When you close the sunroof, that part might be broken and wont slide back down, that might be why its not closing all the way, only partially.

Maybe he did search, but just wanted to raise his post count. I'd love to post a WTB thread, but can't get enough posts. There is so much relevant information in the search that I feel starting a 'Help me raise my post count' thread. :D

Oh...I only posted this to help with my post count. :hello:

I just made my thread a few days ago...I practically had deja vu while opening this thread. Definitely try searching next time!
