I picked up my 05, 6mt, DG/G with premium and navi today. Initial impressions: one he** of a car. I haven't driven an '04 or any earlier G35, so I can't really make any comparisons with other models, but in its own right, it is absolutely a blast to drive.

Even the Missus, who was very skeptical of a manual transmission car, understood after a minute of driving that the wait was worth it.

Price of the car was about 1000 below MSRP. They were not particularly willing to deal since this was only the second 05 6MT to arrive to them, I had not ordered it, and there were others sniffing around the car. However, they were extremely pleasant to work with, zero pressure, no finance manager tricks, no hard sell of warranties or undercoating or anything like that. We actually made the deal the week before the car arrived, so yesterday was no more than 35 minutes of actual buying time - just signing the papers. Then a good hour of instruction on how the car works.

Couldn't be happier.
