alignment question

I took my car for alignment today. When i got home and looked at the alignment report. It said 2002 infiniti I35. When i called them to tell them that they aligned it to a differenr model specs they said it has the same specs as my car and that if they align it again it's no point cuz the alignment numbers will be the same. What do you think?

Depends... either upload the sheet or tell us the numbers they aligned it to. Toe should be near zero.

The I35 has a solid rear axle with -1* of camber on the rear and maybe .25* of total toe. I used to have a 02 Maxima so same basic car. I wouldn't bother getting it aligned again. Your toe will be fine as will your rear camber with I35 specs.

I didn't review the numbers, I will try to later. What I can tell you though, is that you should go get your money back and take it elsewhere.

The A33 chassis is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
The only 'adjustable' allignment on a A33 is the front Toe, that's IT if they look at the spec sheet.
In real life, you can adjust the camber a bit in the front only, but they never do.

Based soley on that, you should conclude that these guys have no idea what they're doing and you need to go elsewhere. IMO, anyways.

^ORLY?!?!?!?! They have a spec of 2-3.5, and the final is 8.4!!!! But this is ok?!?! They don't question this? After comparing to the PROPER specs, the front doesn't seem too bad, but I'd nit-pick it they can do better than that.

The rear you should be taking back, they didn't even adjust the toe/camber from the look of it they didn't touch the rear end. It needs adjustment.

the numbers looks fine. If the car drives straight, I wouldn't worry about it. However, I think that is real bad customer service and it shows a lack of attention to detail. I would not bring my car to those people.

hearing mixed opinions weather i should have them redo it or not. The car drives straight and i was having tire feathering only in the front tires prior to alignment, not in the rear. Looks like they fixed the camber issue in the front. On top of that the alignment special was 25$ and they charged me 87$ saying they had to adjust the camber kit and that costs extra ($30 per wheel!) i was pissed but they had already started working on the car so i couldnt take it somewhere else. I have a 2 week warranty on the alignment so i could always bring it back for g35 or 350z alignment specs if it's really necessary what do you think?

If there's a 2 week warranty then it wouldn't hurt to take it back. I'd do it. $25 is ridiculously cheap for an alignment lol. Wish they ran that cheap from where I am.

Seems like you can't lose getting it redone....

I'd want it in spec if I paid for it, especially considering the back was out of spec and they didn't even touch it.
