cai question

What is the big difference between $60 no brand name cai and brand name( injen, aem, k&n) cai? Is it the safely of the car? Performance? I know its the "looks" and the fitment in the engine bay lol. Pls let me know so I can either be rich or poor after buying a cai thanks!!!!

Its just a pipe with a filter on the end... some look baller, but they all perform about the same on a DE. Make sure you dont get a metal one, they have a tendency to heat soak and will cost you ponies

Do a little more research before purchasing your CAI. Our stock intakes + K&N drop in filter will probably be the best option performance wise. If you want sound, grab a Ztube/popcharger combo.

^ This.

If you want to save money, don't do it at all. Unless you just want noise.

You've got a DE right? then a Z-tube will be a nice improvement for the price (pick up a used one for $40 or so) the baffles in the OEM intake pipe hurt airflow

its all the same when u think about it. The biggest difference is quality. I have a nismo CAI and its works pretty well. Make sure ur CAI has a bypass for water though....
