new mods installed

Hey so I put in a RHD JDm battery cover, 5/16 basic MD spacer, 350z engine cover, and got my plenum powder coated. I have to say, the 5/16 spacer + HR y-pipe is amazing.
Future plans for my engine bay include: hood dampers, removing all of the stickers, painting my fluid containers black, painting battery & fluid covers frost white, and maybe paint parts of the Z engine cover.

Shout out to DAGALEAG35 for powdercoating my plenum frost white. Awesome dude who does amazing work out of LB. Took about 1 day to sandblast and powdercoat my plenum.

Pics taken via iphone.

Im debating about keeping my OEM Ztube or powdercoating a Berk tube frost white to match my plenum. Any opinions, suggestions?

Thanks for looking!

I would keep the piping black, that way you can keep the "white" centered in the engine bay.

I had an injen CAI, but sold it about 5 months ago. It looked better than OEM, but I hated switching it to a short ram whenever it rained and the heatsoak was pretty bad.

Nice. What did that HR Y-pipe do for the exhaust note is it much louder?

The HR-Y pipe did make the exhaust note a little more deeper, but it was not too noticable. Noise wise, replacing the oem muffler with a custom one made the exhaust note a lot louder. Adding a coupe midpipe also made a huge difference in the exhaust sound since 03-04's have suitecase sized resonators.

Normal white stands out way too much against the Pearl White. Looks strange. Contrast is huge in the TB as well, if you're going to keep the white, the TB needs to get done in either black or white to match. Just this guys $0.02

Nice progress though, keeping it original to be sure. I need to figure my intake spacer vs. kinetix IM out still, no rush though...

Im a little hesitant about messing with the TB due to its sensativity. It currently sticks out like a soar thumb, so I might just man up and get it painted as well.

Just disconnect the battery, then remove the TB. Maybe I'm just lucky but I've cleaned mine several times which includes me manually moving the plate inside and I have yet to have any issues. Besides, you shouldn't have to touch the plate if you only plan on coating the outside of it.

Don't blame you, I'd be hesitant as well, I wouldn't have it Sandblasted and PC'd though, I'd just buff it up and paint it normally.

I feel the same way, my plenum is chromed and I don't see many of them out there. Makes a noticeable difference when sitting side-by-side with a polished plenum.
