Just joined because I've ordered my 2005 and its T-minus 60 days
Been lurking for the past year, figuring it prudent to wait to join till I knew for certain I'd be purchasing a G. Today, I placed an order for my my new 2005 AT G (evidently the entire option package I want is not yet readily available, per my sales person; principally the full aero kit).
So...in 60 days, I'll be the proud owner of a... 2005 AT Metallic silver Premium package Nav Sport-tuned suspension Aero package Aero kit Just wanted to say hello. I'll post some pics when it's finally in my grubby hands... :D Now will probably commence with the posts asking why in the word I'd be ordering/waiting for that particular option package because they've seen 15 of them just gathering dust at their local dealership. :) |
congrats, post some picture when u picked up the car :)

I'm also waiting, my new ride should arrive in early February. In the mean time I have down loaded the owners manual and the Nav manual and pretty much have a basic understanding of how the Nav works. I figure that when My G comes in, I should be in the door with a check then out the door with my smart keys in record time.
Can't wait to get in my XcarGO G35X Brilliant Silver, Stone, and every thing else except wood. |
Hi guys. I'm about to order mine as well, or put a deposit on one nearby that's on the way.
Do you mind if I ask what part of the country you live in and how much you paid over or under invoice? I'm trying to get an idea of what a good deal is. I'm in L.A., and according to Edmunds they're getting right around sticker here. But I don't know if I buy that. |
Jarret I may not be a good example...
as I'm able to buy my car through Infiniti's VPP (Vehicle Purchase Program)and will get my car about about $400 to $500 over invoice.
Couldn't hurt to check out the list of companies on the list to see if your employer (assuming you're employed and not working for yourself, etc.) is part of the program. I only learned my company was by checking the list out (there was nothing publized anywhere on my company's benefits documentation, internal web sites, etc.). Go to www.grubbsinfiniti.com and search till you find their VPP information page. They have a link that will open up a PDF file with an alphabetical listing of the companies in the program. Good luck with your purchase. |
I thought that the aero kit was no longer available due to the redesigned front and rear bumpers or was I just reading things wrong?
|
Well if you're right, my sales person has alot of explaining to do!
All I know is that it's still listed as an option on just about any built-your-own site on the web, including the one for my dealer (Sewell Infiniti in Dallas). When my sales person filled out my order form, he was referring to a small manual that appeared to contain the list of all the available packages and he specifically wrote in the aero kit.
You're not the first person to say this, however, so I may just have to shoot the guy an e-mail to inquire. |
You can find Nissan's VPP (Vehicle Purchase Program) info at: http://www.insidenissan.com
The 2005 aero kit is different.. it includes a front lip spoiler, the splash guards, and it can be ordered with or without the rear spoiler.. You can see it in action here: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ight=2005+aero |
Thanks, dawg. I've got to rethink whether I want that kit, now
I agree with most of the sentiments on the thread you linked that it's not that attractive.
I live in the Dallas area and I may just have to blitz over to Grubbs and see if they've got that vehicle (or another similarly equipped) to see if it looks better in person. Thanks again for the link to the pics. |
