Buying a 2003-2004 Infiniti G35 Sedan with over 100k miles

Hello everybody,This is my first post. After looking in this section for a while I decided to ask a few questions about the 2003-2004 infiniti G35 Sedans.I currently have a 97 camry and I'm going to buy a newer car the infiniti with my money

Now here are my questions.Every car i've looked at has over 100k miles easy.one guy has a nice 2004 Infiniti G35X with 120k miles on it but wants 7600 for it.Looks like he put rims on it and claims 1 driver.Of course I will check the carfax before buying ANY Car but,Do you guys think that is pretty steep for that car with high mileage? Its gray witha cream interior..Looks real sweet. This would definitely be ideal car for me given that it runs good.

What should I be worried about on a G35 Sedan with over 100k Miles? What are these cars notorious for? I know simple stuff needs to be changed ( Timing belt,Tires, brakes ),But anything out of the blue that I should know about?

Do you think 7600 is worth it? I really want to try and talk him down of course but it all depends on the guy I guess..

Looking forward to joining the G family

If you can raise your budget I'd get one with lower miles, especially if you're keeping it for a while.

If you're planning on keeping it for under a year then I wouldn't be too picky...not sure how your local market is but 7600 for one with 120k seems like a fair price in mine. See what maintenance the owner has had done recently or you might be spending more than you expected

Why not just save your money and wait a year for that newer Infiniti that you plan on getting anyway?

At 100k youre going to be looking for replacement of:

spark plugs
coil packs
cam or crank sensors tend to go around this point
suspension components

Plus normal wear and tear items like belts, brakes, tires.

My car has 100k on it and I love how it still drives. Smooth and all power still. Like others have said, there will be wear and tear parts that u will have to replace (just like any other car at that price range) but u can do a lot of DIY on here and you can use that as a buying point too. Look at his belts, breaks, tires (camber wear), stains in the interior, run ur finger thru the exhaust tip to see if any oil leaks (I know not the pro way but it can help give warning signs right? ) but if u do go with the purchase , congrats and welcome to the fam. Best forums ever!
