Diff fluid changem

Finally changed my diff fluid, not sure when the last time it's was done. My 03 has 193k on the dash but drives great. After draining the gear oil, the fluid was low about half a qt low but the shocking or maybe not so shock thing was the deposits in the drain plug. In also drained and refilled the transmission fluid, the transmission level was right at 4qts

What fluid did you end up putting back in? I'm planning on doing this soon, and I'm currently searching around for whats best to put in it.

A lot of us use Amsoil Severe Gear 75-90, it works great.

LOL I'm confused, is this a question? Comment? Random post?

Glad to hear you were able to do it yourself
Stuff on drain plug is normal except the right side where it looks like thicker metal shavings.
