I'd also jump on a powdercoated X shield, to 55337.

I received mine the other day and installed it on Saturday. I have the black P/C and it looks great. The front piece went on fine. I had to open up 2 of the rear-most holes a little bit to make them work. Other than that I think its a great piece. The 2 bolt oil change cut-out is awesome. It is ridiculous to have to remove that many bolts to change the oil filter with the stock tray. I would definitely recommend this for any other X's out there.

Hey tollbooth any solutions for the plastic piece that meets the rear of your aluminum shield down there?

Its something I've been contemplating - you're talkin bout the aero piece right? I never had one on my car - dunno if it was fitting with one since mine was one of the first ones that came out. Its something I have been heavily considering though. Just need more time Remind me about it again in a few weeks and I'll update you with progress. A few other things I've been thinkin' bout as well.

ill try and get a picture, i think the shop i had install the shield might have put it on wrong, because i thought it would replace that whole plastic undertray in the front.

the piece that is for sale covers everything in front of the front crossmember. AWD has a second panel that goes from the crossmember to the transmission.
