Is there 3m protective film for the area under the door handle?

Hello all,

I know everyone's been talking about the 3m films for the hood, bumper, etc. I am not too big a fan of those because I don't know in the long run if it'll do any bad to the paint. Also, car is not as shiny with the 3m protective film on...just my opinion. Just curious though, is there 3m protective films for that door handle area. I know overtime, especially passengers with long fingernail will end up scratching that door handle area and it'll be all messed up. For that area, I won't mind applying 3m film.

Thanks!

you could have sold them that idea, and when they market it, you would have made millions

you can always purchase the 3m film by the roll/sheet and make it yourself. i did it for the kickplates on the door panels. with extra 3m film, i've become a clearbra-aholic....anything that can scratch around the house, i clearbra it, i.e. polish metal belt buckles, brushed aluminum latches on my briefcase, my wife's fancy soap dish ( the soap was slowly eating away at the fancy flower designs etched on the dish )...etc: )

Yes, it's available, but not by all software designers.

Myself just like Z2G I am clear bra film crazy. I had it done on the hood, bumper, mirrors, then I purchased a small roll & have done under my door handles and my titanium? interior where scratches might have occured. The interior door handles, coffee cup holder lid, ashtray, and center console glove box (no Nav.).

I have not got into the house yet.... but you got me thinkin.....

You are right about the shine, but I would rather have a little less shine, and no stone chips!

Great product.......

It can be done under the door handles, as I've been thinking about getting that done to mine. Besides the standard clear bra install, I also have the film on the trailing edges of my four doors plus the trunk lip [where you put your hand to open the trunk].

is it possible/feasible to do the whole car? even if it costs a few thousand dollars, wouldn't it be worth it to have a perfect looking car for years?

My 3M installer was talking about previous customers and he had a guy with a Ferrari that came in and had the whole car covered with 3M. He was going up to a road rally race in Montana. After the race he came back and paid to have it all removed.

Talk about a lot of money.
