Hey guys,

Last Thursday night on 7/5 I was pulling into a parking garage and this happened :





I had two passengers sitting on the passenger side at the time. I am very glad they are ok and the G did it's job.

I was in the right lane and was hit as I was making the turn. While the car drives fine, three airbags went off (Two side curtain airbags, front passenger seat right airbag). My insurance company is telling me it's most likely totaled, but the appraiser is coming tomorrow to look the car over.

The car only has 53,400 miles on it and was in great shape. If it is totaled, I am really going to miss this car .

Any suggestions on a replacement? The tough part has been looking for a car with a screen I can integrate my Carputer with.

Glad the passengers and yourself are ok. Yeah car cosmetic damage isn't THAT bad, but the three airbags is certainly something worth for insurance to total. If it was one airbag I would say you had a chance, but three is tough. Sad to see such a low mileage car go. Goodluck with everything.

 

Damn car is still so young. Hurts to see it n that shape but thankfully everyone is okay and no one got hurt. Any way you could swap the wheels and sell me those?...ive been trying to hunt down a set of those 18's for a while.

 

damn sorry to hear bro! Hope all works out in the end. Glad everyone is safe and no one was injured. It could have been way worse.

 

Sorry to hear about the car.
If you wanted to try a different car, you could always take a look at first gen CTS-Vs. If you wanted a little more power. Pontiac G8 GXP or GT would be another fun 4 door. An E55 AMG would be another decent choice. Just some other options you can find around $15-20k. All those would be much more powerful than the G, but none quite as reliable. Engine wise, you would never have to worry about an LS really, but the electronics and such in a Cadilac or Pontiac...

 

Im with BUZZ, sorry to hear about the wreck...Glad everyone is ok... and I would send you my stockers and take those RAYS off your hands for a good price... Might help with the deductable!

Those are the stock 18" sport wheels, not the Rays. OP glad you are OK but damn, sucks to see such a clean car damaged like that.

That sucks man! Buy another 6MT G sedan! Could even buy an 07+!

 

ask them how much the buy back price would be. Since that car is very close to mines in miles, i'm wondering what they would pay me and price it would cost to buy back because i would need to de-mod.
