M35 vs G35

I'm thinking about trading my G in for an M35x. I like that they're a little larger and more luxurious. What are the main differences between a 2006 g35x and a 2006 m35x? Is it true that the M only weighs 300 pounds more? Should the gas mileage be any different? What are your opinions on trading the G in for an M?

the M35x is 4000 lbs, the Gs are ~3500

You already mentioned the differences, Its going to be more luxury oriented than the G.

How nice are they? I've never experienced them. I thought they were just ventilated, not air conditioned.

I'm not sure exactly how they work but they are NICE. Drove an M45 a few weeks ago and am completely sold. Nothing like not having your back get all sweaty on the leather on a hot day.. Go to the dealer and test drive one

Yea the interior ***** all over the ones from the G lol...i'd gladly welcome the extra weight, most of it is probably the stock exhaust anyway haha, who needs that?

It's disappointing that Infiniti didn't use stainless exhaust in their older cars. When did they start making the M stainless? The only other thing I don't like about the M are the tail lights...they're huge.

M is just more comfy. The M with a 3.5 feels more like a boat and is a bit underpowered and will use a bit more gas to push that heavy chassis around. Still not a horrible car though.

My friend has one and loves it, good things between the two is same motor so intakes, and test pipes, plenum spaces, headers are all interchangeable. Also the M has more room under the hood to work with. It doesn't feel so underpowered but you do feel the weight and gas does sort of suck, but it's such a comfy ride.

If you were to this upgrade IMO go with the 45 don't stick with the same motor.

Well, if you do get the M, you are moving to a higher class. It nice to drive those cars. Test drove the M37 and love it. Makes you feel rich. lol
