Whats the point in having a pimped out car if the windows are blacked out.. then nobody can see you

Actualy I do have light tint all away around on my G35... Cops never bother me...

Ya Tinting Front Windows Is Illegal In Most Places--but So Is Looking That Good!!! But Wow--you Are Right Texan, those Car Wash Dates You Speak Of Are Partof My Fondest Memories... You Only Know In Retrospect I Guess--sad... Also- Everybodywildou: I Think The Money Spent On Coupe Rims Would Be Better Spent On Chroming Out Your Stock Sport Rims And Lower Profile Tires.can Trade In Your Existing Rims For Chromed Ones - A Place In La Advertises On Ebay. They Have A Pretty Good Deal Running On Sedann Rims-under $500 For Sure. Z-tube Is A Must- With The Cheap Little K&n Drop In Air Intake Filter --should Give You ~90% Of The Gains That Those Injen Cai Gives The Sedan. Its Been Dyno'ed Before-search For Threads.way Less Expensive And Usually More Reliable(tested On Thousands Of Z's And G's). Also The Injen Cai Will Cause The Z- Tube To Break From Constant Rubbing--minor Modification Is Necessary. Nismo Cai's Are Better Suited To The Z-tube And They Offer That Racer Sound. Spoilers Are Really Well Made And Guaranteed At Spoiler Depot.com. They Are In Florida And Do A Great Job On The Factory Style Replica Spoilers. They Also Paint And Ship It All For Less Than $200...spend Any Money You Saved On Eibach Springs (~$210 @ Grubbs) Or Tint (~160-$180 Depending On Tint Quality/shade). These Are A Lot More Noticeable Than Any Other Part You Could Add--in My Opinion.

I Meant A/c Line Not Z-tube ---my Bad! Read Threads On Cai. Only One Has Shown Not To Rub Up Against A/c Line. All Others Need A Little Tying Back Or Bolstering ...otherwise Your A/c Line Will Tear Slowly Losing Cooling Bility..costly Too!

It's because G35s are sophisticated and associated with people like their Dad.

Teenie boopers typically frown on sophistication because it denotes that one has 'conformed'.

If you want to impress the girls at the mall, get an Eclipse Spyder and put 22 inch chrome wheels on it....

Really, with all due respect, I can't believe you actually started this thread.

True, in stock form the G35 is not as sporty looking as the New Maxima... Although I think the new grill on the Maxima is funky looking... but to each there own...

Kind of like comparing the G35 Coupe to the 350z... Both are cool, but the 350z definatly looks more sporty then the G35 Coupe... The G35 looks more upscale...

Although add some rims, bodykits etc... to the G35 and it can look pretty damn sporty

I loved the understated look of the previous Max, but I just can't get used to looking at that new thing.

Do people actually like this car ? I was walking through the Nissan lot the other day killing time and saw that they were blowing out the Maximas for a song.

I honestly think the Altima looks better (minus the altezza tailights).

The 04 Maxima looks real nice to me, they're a lot rarer and appear a lot bigger. Also, the interior trumps that of the G35. A black/black 04 Maxima with tint would probably appeal to more then a light-colored non-tinted G.

OK G35KEG, what does an 18 year old do that he can afford a new G and mods? I am curious.Did mommy and daddy give you the money and then you bought it yourself?? Nothing wrong with that and a really nice thing if you have parents that are that well off. I git some nice cars when I was younger but they were always used and several to many years old. And, who owns that kick butt zvertible?

Hmmm, can't agree with you, but I guess that what makes the world interesting...we all have different taste.

To me, the front looks out of proportion and the rear appears too Pontiacish.

I thought the previous Maxima was a good looking sedan (more balanced):

Also, since the Max is FWD and has torque steer from he_l, it never even made my shopping list.

Not sure I'll ever drive a FWD car again...I've definitely become a RWD snob.

Woah, where did the hostility come from? hehe

Im not 18, i'm 34 and it took me this long to be able buy both these cars (G35 & 350Z Roadster) and mod them When I was 18 I had to settle for a used 1985 Honda Prelude with 70k miles on it.... But I was able to have Jackson Racing trick it out with new Body Kit, Suspension, Cams, Exhaust, Headers and some killer 15" Momo rims (had to save up for a year to get all those mods tho)... and it was still slower then hell... hehe that car only came with like 110 HP engine to begin with... but I will always have fond memories of it being my first car

Yeah, I was also amazed someone that young could afford a G. I'm 40 and trying to get my ducks in a row to swing G payments. Of course, I have a mortgage, day care, insurance and all those adult bills that add up. Maybe it is easier to afford a G at age 18!
