SS Brake Line Upagrade??

I have a little extra cash this month and wanted to purchase a set of SS brake lines and pads. My question is will I actually see any improved braking distance and feel with the just the lines? I searched and see a ton of info. on people doing lines, pads, and rotors but not just the lines... Thanks!

This is a MOD i wanted to do but put back for a LONG time because of benefits.

I dont think your distance will drop. But the pedal feel should be better. Being solid lines there will be no type of flex. Aside from that shouldnt see any benefit at all, unless you have bad lines that are swelling up or a crazy ex that wants to cut your lines.

Yeah, that is kinda what I was thinking... I will pair them with a new set of HPS pads and new fluid, so I may see a little increase.. Just wondering if it was worth money to chang them out. Thanks for the response.

Distance won't decrease, but pedal feel will improve.

I honestly feel it's something more for the AutoXing/road racing crowd where brake pedal modulation is an "art" really. For your every-day average daily driver, it's something you'll feel initially and then get used to over time and have no real benefit (unless you are braking on the edge every day during your commute)

I am begining to think I can find a better use for the $250 I will spend on the lines now... I wanted to avoid going BBK, but it sounds like if I want better braking performance, that is the only way to go. Thanks again!

Yea thats about the reason why i didn't get them. I always have an eye out for it in the marketplace, would love to get them at $100 or so.

BBK is useless on a DD/street car.

Hey Turtle.. I know I am off subject, but.. How did the Uprev do for your X? We pretty much have the same set-up and I have been debating buying online. Guy I know said he could get the maps for similar set-ups for my G, called it a E-tune. Thinking this will be my next mod. THanks!
