The Audi is a very refined car, I won't lie. I'm very detailed oriented. So things like the rubber molding around the door striker so it has a soft sound when it shuts... the speed and physical touch of the windows/buttons. The subtle red LED's that light the interior. The look is almost a classic look with the way the bumper trim accents all the way around the car. There is a LOT of thought that went into building that car.
There's also a lot of pain in the *** things.. you have a 350hp/420trq setup, and things break. Lots of sensors that go bad often. Very tight engine bay and obscure tools needed. If the turbos go (which is very common), you have to pull the entire engine/transmission. Parts are expensive, and typically when replacing something you end up replacing quite a few things since you're already there. Suspension rattles are almost inevitable, although I seem to be pretty lucky with that. With that being said..
I actually love the G as a whole. The exterior also has a very timeless/clean look, the interior is beyond comfortable. Suspension was very tub on the road feeling, but the revised Z's and G Coupe combo did a great job of tightening the feel and increasing driver confidence. The VQ35 is a fantastic engine and power is predictable and usable. I don't love the 5AT, but I don't hate it either. It's a first A/T for me, so it's taking some getting used to. And while it's not as exotic as the S4, it holds it's own VERY well.
Furthermore, repairs seem reasonable and not unnecessary (for the example, the Audi has a secondary water pump underneath the IM that is supposed to turn on for a few minutes when the car shuts off. It never does, and not only that - the pump is a known failure item that leaks/cracks, requiring a 5-6 hour job of replacing it and the pump is a couple hundred dollars).

Very cool, welcome aboard! Your Audi is well done - very classy and not over the top at all. And the G will be right at home, especially if you take care of it. They are easy to work on for the DIYer also. Did you install your springs, or have a shop do them?

Thanks! The factory service manual is fantastic. Very detailed. I wish more auto manufacturers had manuals as good as Nissan/Infiniti.
I did the suspension myself. Easiest suspension I've done on a car to date. One lower bolt, three strut tower bolts. The rears being a single bolt was even easier.

Yup, better deals for sure, but i still see them locally for $900-1000 or so.
My issue is finding a set not curb-rashed to hell or modified with paint. Seems like everyone near me paints the damn wheels. I want OEM finish

Awesome! I've done a few suspension jobs before - lifted my brother-in-laws '04 Grand Cherokee with 2" spacers on top, but we had to compress the springs to fit them in (done on my driveway, not a shop with a lift). And I replaced the suspension on my old '88 Monte Carlo a few times so I should be good to go. Thanks!
Thats a picture with the drop already? If so it doesn't look like a decent drop anymore. I guess i got used to coils, i had a Z/G drop and i loved the front looks of it.
