Is the G too narrow?

Is the G too narrow?
I've had my sedan for a couple of years, and I still love it. I've always felt that it was just a little too small, though. I'm 6'4" and 220, with long legs, and I feel that the car is a little too confining. Although the headroom is fine, the car's narrow dimensions make my lower body feels like it's crammed into the cockpit. Do any other tall or large drivers feel the same way? I'll probably be looking seriously at the new M.

I'm not as big but at 6'0 and 180lbs I'm not the smallest driver either...I was actually very surprised with how much width there is in the G...I have a coupe, so I think its wierd that we differ on opinions...However, if you have the bucket seating which I'm not sure if the sedans do...I occasionally feel confined, but not due to lack of space...I feel that way only because of the way these seats tie me in, they hug around my waist...Anybody else have opinions on this?

The fact that they had to put the power seat switches on top of the seat should tell you the car is a little narrow. No room to fit you hand down the side of the seat to reach any controls they would put down there. And have you tried to fish anything out from between the seat and the console? Yikes.

The person who you need to ask this question is the guy sitting in the middle back seat. If that person is a kid he may be happy, myself I feel that the middle back seat is for short distance use only, it's comfort is also effected be the positioning of the reclining out board rear seats.
My own personal opinion is that the G sedan is quite comfortable with 4 adults.
If you are still not sure take a tall friend with you on a test drive, that's what I did.

I find that I am forced into using the arm rests;
else - my elbows are tucked tight to my sides.
I have resorted to opening the center console to give me
more elbow room on the right side.

I was not comfortable in the coupe although at first it was a real contender due to the body style. I, love the look of the car. But, I was not comfortable in it and neither were my passengers. My wife is a twin so we are out allot with my brother in law and sister in law. None of us enjoyed the harder ride or the restrictive seats in the coupe. Just my personal feelings. I then drove the sedan again and found a nice blend of sport and luxury. So, the sedan was it for me. Otherwise, I was going to forget sport and just go the Luxo route and that would have been the Lexus ES330.
