i noticed on grubbs site that they sell a strut bar for the coupe but not for the sedan. considering that under the hood the 04 coupe and sedan are practically the same (i think) wouldnt the coupe strut bar fit the sedan?

 

My understanding is because the engine sits higher in the bay on the sedan, the struts won't fit over the plenum without interfering with the hood.... at least that is what an aftermarket parts shop told me.

 

There are no under the hood differences between the Coupe and Sedan. If it fits the Coupe it'll fit the Sedan and vice versa. It's the G35s as a family that differs from the 350Zs slightly.

 

I checked Grubbs site, they are selling the Stillen coupe rear STB.

Their are many problems involved with blessing any G35 with a front STB. First, the G does not have the Z's special required welded on STB mounting tabs. Second the G routes in power supply out of the batter compartment so it would be in the way, lastly the G does not route it's A/C return lines like the Z does, on the G they are in the way to any possible front STB. The Z does not mount it's front STB over the top of the shock mounts for a reason. Dc Sports claims to have one in R&D, I'll believe it when I see it, and if it does show up we'll see how effective it's mounting system is.
