Not getting any power to my rear windows. What have I done?

First off I will apologies if I have violated any rules on posting here, I'm new at posting here but I need help quick.

so it should a have been a quick job. I was replacing my rear passenger door because it was damaged in a collision. my G35 has auto window feature on all doors but my replacement door from the junkyard did not. I noticed this when it was time to plug in the window control and the connections where different. the old auto controller had two Molex connection and the new non auto controller has only one. on the new non auto wiring harness one side fit into the auto controller so i plugged it in to see if it worked. it did not so realizing the two doors had completely different harness, motors and controllers I did a full swap. so I have the original auto harness, auto motor, and auto controller in the new door all hooked up but I'm getting no power to that window or the other rear window. I've check every fuse even the two fuse boxes by the battery. the front windows still work but my rears are both stuck down.

somebody shed some light please, any input would be appreaciated.

also I know my motor is good so that's not the problem.

Try resetting the system, unplug the battery at the terminal so the entire car is dead, then after a minute or two put the connection back on the batter and start the car up. Don't know for sure if it will help but worth a shot.
If that doesn't work you may have to do a window reset for each of the rear windows, there's a DIY for it somewhere on here.

I've already tried unhooking the the negative battery terminal and waiting for the car to reset, no effect on the window situation. guess I'll look into that window reset thing you're talking about after work today. Thanks for the input.

What year is your car? Just to be clear, you mean only the "auto" function is not working, as in, when you turn and hold the door key in the unlock position? Do the windows operate from their individual switches? What about from the driver's door switches? (You don't have the power window lock switch pressed do you?)

I think all 4 windows share the same fuses so if the fronts are fine the rears should be too. I was wondering if maybe you missed a ground link when you swapped it all out but I think both power and ground come through the connectors into the rear doors so, probably not. There is also the "anti-pinch" system which might require those motors to be reset?? Just guessing.

I think there are links to service manuals somewhere on this site, or I can copy some of the '05/'06 diagrams for you if that applies.

Good luck.

That's another good idea, look over everything and make sure that all of your plugs are fully plugged in and that you haven't missed any ground connections or any random little things.
Also check the connection on the front divers side window controls up front, I believe there's two plugs up there, one that controls the front and another that controls the rear. Make sure that's all plugged in right.
Hope we've given you some good ideas.

It's an 03 I'm working on. It's the whole window not just the auto power feature. I haven't tried rolling them up with the key yet. All connection have been triple checked. Maybe it's my switch? But that shouldn't effect both rear Windows right? Or does anybody know what two of the five wires I can put current to so I can hot wire my Windows to roll up? That way I can at least drive my car without the fear of somebody stealing things out of car.

The section you want is "gw.pdf" (glass, window system and mirrors). That should help you trace the fault.

Thank you that should be very useful.

So I just I just got home from work and tried putting the windows up via the method with the key in the driver door then turned counter clockwise and held. they went up! so I assume that means I haven't fried anything right?
