Original OEM Documents

When I brought my car I noticed I had all the original docs. from the infiniti dealer sale of the car. I'm surprise it still lasted being 8 yrs old and I'm the 3rd owner. I have the persons Name, Address, Bank Loan Info., trade-in value and all services done. I find it a little creepy, but interesting. Anyone else have the original paperwork?

Here's the car spec sheet.

Pretty sure I'm not getting 27mpg anymore

I have the window sticker for my '06 kicking around somewhere.

$42K and change. Fully loaded except the chrome wheel option

Amazingly the sticker on my Benz is the same....and is a mid-level car

I bought my 2004 Sedan, sport package only, for ~27.5 k out the door (before Tax/Title).

It was an ad car at the time and the new 2005s were already on the lot.

As for service history and original docs, I have questioned this approach recently as well as I was planning on selling and providing almost 10 years of service history that I have maintained. But then I started thinking about just how much someone could learn about me based on all that documentation. Names, addresses, dates of residency in different cities, etc.

I started to get paranoid and wondered if its really a good idea to provide these docs to what is essentially a complete stranger.

What do you guys think?

I have had similar thoughts. In this day and age, not so paranoid. Person you are selling to would by necessity know who you are, but in the future I will be sanitizing any records I turn over to remove personal info. All they need to know is what was done and when.

I wouldn't sweat it, but I always snip out names and addresses from my papers when passing on a car.

But if someone wants your info, they can get it easily. I have contact that can run a license plate for me easily. Cut me off in traffic and act like a hardass and your mom is getting **** sent to her house in your name.

(no i've never done that...and wouldn't)

My 04 came with all of the original paperwork and window stickers including the original salesmans business card, sticker was just a little under 38k iirc.

didnt realize i was in the sedan forum. thought this post was about the coupes. i kno the sedans are a bit cheaper than coupes so im not too surprised anymore with that figure esp the way the first gen sedans look. (03-04 the unpainted trim generic looking wheels etc )

In 2005 a fully loaded auto cost more than a fully loaded 6MT.

I can't tell you, but it makes sense - fewer sedan buyers would want a manual while more coupe buyers would want the manual.
