Help cant get out of park.

Just put on rims that i picked up off the forum. When i got finished and tried to go for a drive the slip light was on and the car wouldnt shift out of park. Put old wheels back on and same thing, wont shift out of park. Car was perfect beforei changed the wheels. Any help is appreciated.

Try unhooking the battery for about 15 mins and hooking it back up maybe?

What will that do? Sorry i know little about cars. From reading it seems it might be the brake/stop switch.

Does your gauge cluster show what gear you're in? If not, then your fuse is blown which is located under the car near the transmission.

You should be able to push the Shift Lock button to get the transmission to shift out of park, but not sure that would help anything.

When you step on the brake, do you hear a click in the shifter area?

Are the wheels the same diameter? Is the tire size the same? Is your car AWD or RWD?

Let's not get too complicated here. This is the method I would try first. Make sure the engine is OFF, use a small screw drive to move the Lock button, shift the transmission. Try this method first.
