i noticied that when im inside my car and i turn it on the doors dont lock, so i have to hit the button to lock them. but once i shut the car off the doors are still locked. i know most cars once you shut them off the doors automatically open up. does the g's do this or am i missing something here

Not a standard feature for the 03-06 (at least not 05-06 but you didn't say what model you had so we have to guess)

They do make aftermarket modules, but in OEM form, the doors do not lock when you turn the car on, and if oyu lock them they do not unlock when you shut off the car.

Could also be an aftermarket alarm?

 

Do you have a smart key? Your not missing anything. Its also to help prevent you locking the keys in the car
