Oil smell - old dipstick seal?

Just replaced my valve cover gaskets, plug rings and my car is still creating an oil smell during braking, etc. I've noticed the dipstick seal is old and not creating an air tight seal at the top.

Any experience with replacing this with a new one, and any possible results? $15 from Infiniti isnt much, figure i would give it a shot.

Thoughts?

Doubt that's the reason.

Sure you don't have a leak around the valve covers again?
