I have a 2005 Infiniti G35X with a vibration in the passenger side front end. It is most noticeable from about 45-65mph. The vibration doesn't change between braking and just driving. I have checked tire balance and rotors and found no problems. I have also checked the tires for play to see if it's my bearings. I have read other post were people didn't have play in the tires but still had bad bearings. The car has about 90,000 miles on it and riding on a set of Nexen tires. I need some help figuring this out without having to pay a machanic to look at it.

 

I'm spoiled that I have a mechanic in our car club but one thing you may want to check is your front drive shaft. We found a good amount of play in mine and upon removal it was nearly seized on the diff side and a good 1/8" too much play on the leading joint. We replaced it (EXPENSIVE) the issue with my X subsided. worth a look if you've trouble shot the "easy" ones (hubs, tire balance, etc)

Is there any way you could take the front drive shaft out and make the car RWD?

 

You can remove a fuse by the driver's left foot and it'll deactivate AWD.

 

Sell your car and buy an RWD car.
