Does the Cigarette Lighter Socket Ring illuminate in a 03 G35 Sedan?
Guys,
Have a few questions, does anyone know if the cigarette lighter (The ring around the socket) illuminates? I could have sworn mine did.
Lighter stopped working, must be a fuse.
Illuminate, such as the window switches, The PRND2 center console, etc...
I know the heated seat switches are supposed to illuminate, I noticed they don't illuminate anymore in my car. Thanks

Here is a mockup I made. There is a 1/8" gap behind the metal surface of the lighter till the plastic where a little orange light bleeds out. Is this what you request? The orientation is weird, the bottom is the drivers side and the top is the passenger side.

I can take a pic later when its dark if ya want, but here's the trim piece in question, and as you can see, there is a clear piece around it with what looks to be the same bulb as our switches in behind it that seems to be running off the same power cable as the lighter. If your lighter isn't working, then there is a good chance its the reason your light isn't working anymore.

Interesting thks, For my lighter when it worked, I had to push down the lighter and hold for a few secs to work. It wouldn't just stay in and pop out when ready.
Mine must be a blown fuse, I figure it'll illuminate when I replace the fuse.
Correct, the socket( the white circle) around the socket illuminates, not the lighter itself, whether or not it's being used or not. Yea thanks if you can post pics taken at night.
