How to make V35 06 G35 Sedan faster than V36 G35 Sedan without FI?

I have a 06 G35 Sedan with Stillen High Flow Intake kit with a Z tube, I also have a 5/16 plenum spacer. I thought my vehicle would hold up against stock V36 G35 sedan. However, I was annihilated. I couldn't even catch up to him. Both cars are 5AT. I was wondering if I'd install High Flow Cats and get Osiris Tune, will I be able to beat him or at least keep up with V36?

NO, you would have to break open your motor and do cams, headers, lightweight driveshaft and almost every bolt on with Osiris to have a chance and even then it might be tough. Remember if we're talking about the 37 with the VVEL motor it came from the factory with 53 more HP than the DE (non revup). DE=280 and VVEL=333. The 37 is heavier so my guess is you'd have to add ~45 more HP to have a chance.

V36 sedan has the 3.5HR so no VVEL

but will still need basically everything but FI to be even with it lol

HR is beast and more efficient than the DE in every way

Sure it wasn't a G37? The one's I've been test driving are absolute rocket ships compared to my '06. Even the AWD versions move along pretty well. Feels like a solid mid-high 13 second sedan. My sedan ran a 14.6 which is not bad for the heaviest, slowest G35 model made.

With HFC and a tune you might be able to hold your own against an G35 with the HR, but not a G37. Either way get the HFC and tune... you won't regret it. Seriously the best investment you can make into driveability

No, I'm not delusional I'm talking about going against V36 G35 Sedan, not a G37.

Your best bet would be to get all bolt ons, and then focus on weight reduction. I hate Nissan for only putting the good motors in those ugly behemoths

Build the motor. I remember Cosworth claims to be able to get close to something like 400 hp to the wheels without boost. But they wanted something like $10k, and that was a hook-up price since my buddy has already purchased 3 other motors from them.

As thy point, one would wonder if it's more cost effective to just sell your car and buy a v36?
