Hey guys this is regarding the well known ever present brake pedal click. I've always been aware of it and it's never really bugged me, except this am I go start the car and hit the brakes and now the click is really loud and can be felt through the gear selector and also heard in the shift consol area, like where you cut Into the cig lighter for remote turn on. Is there any fix to this? Getting to the area is easy, so hopefully somebody has fixed this already.

 

Nobody hears that click when they apply the brake pedal? C'mon guys help me out.

 

Yup. Just learned to ignore it, or not step on the brake until after the car is started.

 

Haha thx, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one. I've always noticed it but have never realized how loud it is with the car off!

 

Can prob put some sound deadening around the relay to muffle it. No idea where it is or I would have done this myself.

 

I've never heard mine click in almost 5 years of ownership.

 

You referring to the shift lock solenoid? (5at)
Take apart the center console. The relay is in there.
