You can't blame a G35 for trying.

With all due respect, on what would you base that comment?

Try staying with my 6MT on a twisty mountain road, if you think there is no difference.
Not only is the handling tighter and crisper with less body roll and lean, but with the Viscuous Limited Slip Differential (not available except on Sport models) you won't be gripping and pulling out of the turns as hard as me either (or drifting, depending upon the degree of throttle application)

Just the facts ......

Less body roll? VLSD?

The only thing sporty about the sport package is the areo parts you can get with it. The suspension is barely tighter than the non-sport suspension as any decent aftermarket suspension will be much better, and the VLSD sucks at what it does. When the thing wears out, and it does this fast, it will lock and stop working as a LSD.

Misinformed sir - Aero Package is a completely different package. Shocks and struts are calibrated differently, as are spring rates. Regardless of how you try to characterize it, the suspension components are different and better calibrated for performance.

Simple, indisputable facts. May not be enough of a difference to impress you, but there's a difference nonetheless, and absolutely silly to state otherwise.

Perhaps you lack the ability to exploit or understand the differences in the suspension.

Sure I am. From what I remember, you can always add the parts on separately, but the aero package was only available if you get the sport package.

Either way, after six or seven years, it's about time to swap out those old shocks and struts anyways. If you are looking for performance, do yourself a favor and upgrade to something better.
