I forget the model, but i was quoted $600ish for install in my car with Intelligent key.

Needless to say, i didn't do it

 

I have a crimestopper 2-way FM unit with a Fortin Evo-All bipass on my '04X. Works awesome. Must have a 2-way unit so you actually know if your car started or not. It also tells you if the hood, trunk or a door is open and if the doors are locked/unlocked. I had a friend help me with the install who is an electrical engineer so all of the wires are properly soldered.

 

Got a remote starter on my '05 6MT RWD, cheapest I found was 300Cdn$ Installed, and is rated 2500' while others were 350-400$ and 1500 to 2000'. DirekStart slim remote, love it so far !! Also got the lock/unlock/trunk features.

There is also a mode where I can leave it running for 2 minutes before it shuts down (Turbo cars mode) and I can have it start 6 minutes each 2/3/4 hours if I want to.
