Ive searched and searched and from what I can find the only difference other than hp (260 vs 298) would be the brakes on the 04 being smaller? What are the other differences? Is there anything I should check specifically? Someone I went to highschool with is a mechanic and said they regularly have timing chain problems such as either breaking or needing to having the tensioners replaced? And another mechanic friend of mine who had a 04 coupe said nothing of this and that on the 04 just to use aftermarket brake pads and rotors to solve the "brake issue".

So I am a little confused... I want to get a reliable car once I sell my s2000 but I dont want to take what they said as the end all be all answer. Can anyone else chime in?
