Opinions on best replacement parts for trunk strut assembly

Hi all:

I've searched quite a bit for this, but am not really finding what I'm looking for.

I have an '05 G35 Sedan 6MT. Have owned the car a little over a year. This lousy, frigid weather has apparently reaked havoc on one of my trunk struts. It broke towards the bottom of the unit, so I have a very heavy trunk lid right now.

Original part number is 84430-AL521. My searches tell me this part is discontinued.

Can some of you lead me in the right direction for best, reasonable replacement parts?

Thanks!

Eric

You sure that part number is correct? I believe these fit 05/06 sedans:

Well, 84430-AL521 is the part number that's on my car now. Who knows, maybe there are multiple part numbers for these pieces.

Maybe I'll have some luck just finding some decent used ones.

The "...27" did fit our sedan but here are a couple originals:

Search SG471003 from bosch. I believe that is the replacement non factory part number. I believe that is for the factory spoiler. Might last longer since its designed for extra weight.
