The reason why a lot of us do it ourself is because of the horror stories. Some quick lube places have been sued for never changing engine oil on cars even though they signed off that they did. They could be putting the wrong weight engine oil or something that isn't truly what they say it is.

I personally record oil change intervals and need to do it myself.
