Does your car burn oil? If so, how much? If 1 qt or more in 3k miles i woukd go with name brand dino oil and change it every 3k miles. If less than a qt every 5k miles i would go with castrol syntec, mobil 1 or penzoil platinum. I would stick with purolator, bosch, wix, mobil 1, napa or k&n oil filters. Notice no Fram, they have a questionable reputation for build quality. As for weight, 5w30 if not burning much oil; 10w40 if burning more than a quart.

Perfect recommendation. I am partial to using a Factory Oil Filter....Originally Posted by 5150DS

The Mobil1 0w40 is a great oil and the only true synthetic mobil1 sells in the us, I would go with it. The 0w40 tends to be thinner than a normal 40 weight so if you burn more then try 10w40.
