Quick lighting question

Hey, what's up. I'm picking up my G on Sunday, and my first mod will definitely by HIDs - I had them on my previous car and just can't go back. My question is this - what color temp comes w/ OEM HIDs? Also, I've been doing a little searching and can't figure out if you need to just remove the wheel well liner or the grill and bumper to do this - anyone have a quick answer or a diy link? I have the sevice manual on order, but it's not here yet.
Thanks in advance.

I found the color temp in another thread - said it was 4300K. I think to just change bulbs you need to take out the wheel well lining, and to change the light assembly you have to take off the grill and top of the bumper. Can some at least tell me if this is correct?
Thanks

You can go though the wheel well liner.

If you're changing the HIDs just for color temp, I went with the Philips 6000K bulbs. It looks a bit nicer, but actually does a slightly poorer job in lighting up the road.

Higher color temps are even worse from what I understand.
