Hello to g35driver.com members!

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and not a g35 owner yet. I am currently a g20t owner. I am seriously considering buying a g35 6mt in the future, most likely as an '06 model. I have driven the '04 automatic version and loved the handling characteristics. Knowing that the manual is the way to go for me, that will be the only viable option I will be looking into. I have looked at a 6mt today on the lot and it had just about all the options I want except for aero package and XM radio. I have driven the g35 coupe '04 in manual and '03 350Z in manual and I love the manual transmission in these cars.
If you guys don't mind I'd love to hear some opinions on your cars.

1. Anyone considered buying g35 6mt vs. wrx sti or other worthy contenders?
2. How much on average will the dealer yield on a sale?
3. What do you like/dislike the most about your car?

Thank you for the future input and I am looking forward to being a member of this forum!

hey welcome to the board..

Hopefully this will help..
1. Anyone considered buying g35 6mt vs. wrx sti or other worthy contenders?
first off, wrx is not a worthy competitor cause you are looking in a different line..you are now in luxury aspect..so your other competitors would be audi, bmw,..and so on..

but to answer your question..definetly until the g35 came out..you pretty much get an awesome car at a low price..

2. How much on average will the dealer yield on a sale?
if you are looking for a good deal, you are probably better off buying an older model...it will be tuff to buy a new release and get much off..

3. What do you like/dislike the most about your car?
as with every car, there will some you like and some you dislike..but everyone has their own opinion..

the one thing that really attract me was the styling and the seat controls on the seat..tat was my thing..
the only bad thing about this car is the gas assumption..not great gas milege in the city..other than that, its one awesome car..

Sweet, thanks for the welcome!

Yeah, the only reason I was sort of comparing the STI vs G35 was because of similar price, yet, better performance in STI. However, sti definately lacks the luxurity, brand name, and warranty that the g35 has.
Another reason I was thinking about STI was to make sure that the next car I buy will be definately faster than my current one.
I think that with the perfect launch and under right conditions g35 should be a 13 second car.

But, regardless of all that speed stuff, the car will mostly be driven by my future wife, sooooo... I should really think more along the lines of safe/reliable/fast/comfortable car, of which criteria sti meets only one - fast.

lol - we think the same way. I've been driving a mediocre vehicle for too long and have been itching for something fun. If I am going to be spending a lot of money on a new car, I want power! There are cars out there that look good and handle well but lack power. I love the G35 because it combines everything and still keeps the price reasonable. I like the STI as well but it seems more like a kids car IMO. You know, something that is all go that lacks refinement and comfort - things you don't care about when your young.
