Hey guys I recently bought a starter from autozone for 150 but i came to see that the old starter that was in there was an autozone starter so I should be able to get my money back with a little help from you all. i worked for autozone and I know all the loopholes there is with the warranty system, all i would need is someone who bought their starter from autozone get the phone number they put the starter under and i can get a full refund. He is telling you they should warranty it not to turn it in as the new one. If they will not warranty it since you didnt buy the first one, what you are asking others to do is dishonest.

its real indeed, all they need is to see an old warranty its dishonest yes but its still their starter that should have a lifetime warranty i just dont know the number its under. It wont affect their warranty its only a visual confirmation that there is an older dated part number under warranty then they will refund my starter from monday.

 

they don't need the actual receipt? they'll jus look it up using a phone number?

To use sometime elses warrant is dishonest. If the money wasn't there couldn't you have tried the junk yard, eBay, etc. It's actually theft by deception to the business, because the warrant isn't yours and you intent to defraud the business ( I know who cares) but do the right thing don't create some bad mojo to come back on you.
