maybe an option for bluetooth.

but probably only for the sedan, not the coupe.

personally, since infiniti's gonna do the skyline gt-r in 2007 i would think that's also when the new platform's gonna be launched. the last-year-before-new-platform-change (phew!) models are usually not very different from the year before (from my experience).

Having said that, the g35 came out in what, 2003? 2003,2004,2005,2006, 2007 that's about 5 years, sounds about right for a change.

It's reasonable - but most bluetooth functions are contained in stereo/AC/nav units... so that would be fairly easy to update and integrate.

I've seen a plethora of new cars with BT functionality, even the new Grand Cherokee as an option.

How about putting the VQ40 engines into the G35s since the new Pathfinder and Xterra already have them. I guess it will be call Infinti G40 then.

Here are a couple of quotes from LAST January and February (and the speculation turned out to be true). So it's certainly not too early for the rumors to begin. My personal feeling is that next year's changes will be minor (as the 2004s were to the 2003s), with perhaps a bigger change in 2007 when (if?) the Skyline GT-R comes to the US.

(02-05-2004)Just got done talking to my salesguy at Peninsula Infiniti and I asked him about the 2005 G35. He said that the higher ups at Infiniti have been saying they are targeting to make 300bhp out of the engine for the G35 coupe and 6MT sedan for 2005 along with an upgraded interior.
(01-14-2004) There's a rumor I've seen mentioned on the freshalloy board that Nissan has listened to all the concerns with regard to the interior and is planning a major upgrade for the 2005 model. The source is a guy named DFW_infiniti who apparently works at the Grubbs dealership. Here is what he says:
"Infiniti has been listening to what people have been saying regarding the interior of the G35. You will be happy (or unhappy) to know that for 2005 the interior of both the sedan and the coupe will receive a complete redsign and upgrade.

The people that have seen it have reported that Infiniti will no longer have to take a a back seat (no pun intended) in this department. Many of the amenties that have been requested are being added along with leather and material upgrades"

The only major change for the 2006 model, would be the 5a and 6m both being 300HP. Besides that, I dont' see anything higher than 300HP or anything else to do wtih performance.

Well it's July now, I've sold my Mitsubishi Eclipse and am ready to buy a new G35. Does anyone have any idea of what will be different for the 2006 G35? I'm not sure whether to buy an '05 or wait for the '06.

The only real change for the 06' Sedan is Bluetooth support.

The coupe is also getting projectors and and a couple little trinkets.
