Been lurking the forum for a while and picked me up a G back in August.Great car so far but i am having a issues with the car not starting.it will turn over like normal but just wont start.

tried jump starting and no luck(didn't think it would do anything)
I think my problem is in my key.when i got it was the only one and it was cracked on 1 side with a little chip in it exposed,its now missing so i think that was the transponder in the key.

Anybody know if it was the transponder?

Yup if the little chip in the key is gone your car will not start.

 

Yup. You need a new key. And since you only have one, you need to go to the dealer or find a locksmith who can cut and program factory keys
